Dobbiamo riunirci dietro gli ideali di democrazia ed uguaglianza

L'attacco contro in nostri amici dell'AUF, in Norvegia, è una vera tragedia. Oggi abbiamo ricevuto la notizia che più di 80 compagni dell'AUF sono stati uccisi. E' un dolore incredibile.
Gli amici dell'AUF si trovavano riuniti per il loro annuale campo estivo sull'isola di Utøya. Per discutere, incontrare gli amici e godersi la vita. Un paradiso che è stato trasformato in un inferno da un ingiustificabile atto di violenza.

In questo momento di sfida e di dolore noi ascoltiamo e ci riuniamo attorno alle parole del nostro amico e compagno Eskil Pedersen, Presidente dell'AUF:

• "L'AUF e le sue idee contiueranno a vivere, noi non smetteremo mai di lottare per quello in cui crediamo. Noi, come ha detto poco fa il Primo Ministro Jens Stoltenberg, sconfiggeremo il terrore con più democrazia."
• "Dobbiamo riunirci attorno agli ideali di democrazia e di uguaglianza".

Noi, IUSY and ECOSY, e tutti i membri della nostra organizzazione in giro per il mondo, esprimiamo, in questi momenti difficili, il nostro profondo cordoglio agli amici dell'AUF. Siamo tutti profondamente addolorati. I nostri cuori e le nostre menti sono con le vittime e le loro famiglie.

L'attacco all'AUF è un attacco a tutti noi, ai nostri valori e principi. Continueremo la nostra lotta per la democrazia, per i diritti umani e per l'uguaglianza; per una società multiculturale e combatteremo contro ogni estremismo di destra.

Ci incontreremo Lunedì per il nostro IUSY World Festival. Nei nostri cuori e nei nostri pensieri i nostri amici dell'AUF sono con noi.

We need to gather behind the ideas of democracy and equality

The attack against our friends of AUF, Norway, is a true tragedy. Today we have received the news that more than 80 of the comrades of AUF were killed. It is unbelievably sad. The friends of AUF gathered to hold their yearly summer camp at Utøya. To discuss, meet friends and enjoy life. A paradise was turned into hell through an unjustifiable act of violence. In this time of challenge and sorrow we listen and gather behind the words of our friend and comrade Eskil Pedersen, President of AUF: "AUF and the ideas of AUF will live on, we will never give up in our struggle for what we believe in. Our hearts and minds are with the victims and their families. The attack on AUF is an attack on all of us, our values and principles. We will continue our struggle for democracy, human rights and equality; for a multicultural society and the fight against right wing extremism. We are meeting on Monday for our IUSY World Festival. In our hearts and thoughts our friends from AUF are with us. We stand together in solidarity. We are all AUF activists today.
